Supervision

Are you looking for a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida?

As a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist, I am a Qualified Supervisor for registered interns seeking licensure in mental health counseling (MHC) and marriage and family therapy (MFT) as well as for Psychology Interns.

Supervision is a supportive, nurturing space where you can gain confidence as a therapist and develop a vision for how to make your mark in the field. My style is collaborative and solution-focused. I enjoy guiding my supervisees to find their own answers and help them to build confidence in their abilities.

It is important to know that during supervision we will cover many aspects. You will learn through various methods. Your contribution is not only valuable to yourself but valuable to others as well.

Supervision will include discussing cases thorough theoretical lenses, exploring experiences related to self-of-the-therapist, identifying and assessing utilization of therapeutic microskills, reviewing ethical guidelines, and assignments with occasional reading or homework between supervision sessions. Reciprocal feedback will be invited during each session to ensure the supervisee is getting his or her needs met. During the course of supervision, video, audio, and transcription may be incorporated to enhance supervisee’s growth.

I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including hospitals, treatment centers, community mental health, and private practice. Supervision is one of the most important components of becoming licensed and should be a good fit for both parties involved. Please call me at (954) 256-0800 for more information.
